Anne Schedeen, ALF star who played Kate Tanner, dies at 77 Anne Schedeen, best known for playing Kate Tanner on the NBC sitcom ALF, has died at the age of 77. Her family said she “passed peacefully” in a statement shared Sunday, adding that she died surrounded by the legacy of her life and work. A cause of death was not disclosed. In their tribute, her family described Schedeen as someone with “creative energy,” sharp humor, and a deep love for her family, storytelling, and rescue dogs. They remembered her as a strong presence in their lives, saying her memory would live on through her artwork, handmade creations, and “joie de vivre.” They also asked loved ones to honor her by supporting Habitat for Humanity in lieu of sending flowers. Her longtime agent confirmed her death and said she meant “the world” to both her family and her professional circle. Takalafia Holds Mass Burial For Residents Killed By Unknown Gunmen

Gunmen suspected to be fulani herdsmen wreaked havoc on Takalafia community and environs in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. 

The pastor in-charge of the community's Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Daniel Danbeki and other residents were gruesomely murdered by the assailants during the attack on Thursday night which lasted till early hours of Friday May 12. 

Properties of the residents including foodstuffs worth millions of naira were also destroyed by the assailants. 

Neighbouring communities namely Gwanja and Angwan Bege according to reports were also attacked. 

Other residents of the communities who are predominantly Gwandara, Mada and Yeskwe among others also sustained various degrees of injuries. 

The Executive Chairman of Karu Local Governnent Area, Mr James Thomas who visited the community on Saturday condemned the attack in totality. 

Thomas represented by his Deputy, Mr Lawal Yakubu Karshi who warned the residents against reprisal vowed to arrest the perpetrators in order to face the full wrath of the law. 

Mass burial was held for the deceased victims in the community.
