  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Gov. Otti Announces Launch of N10 billion MSME Fund To Tackle Unemployment in Abia State

Mr Otti said a minimum of 20,000 MSMEs would benefit from this fund over the next two years and generate at least 100,000 direct and 200,000 indirect jobs.

The new governor of Abia, Alex Otti, says his administration will within the next one month, launch a N10 billion Micro, Small and Medium scale Enterprises (MSME) financing scheme in the state.

He made this known during his inaugural speech as the fifth executive governor of Abia at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
