Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen step out in coordinated black looks for New York stroll Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made a rare joint appearance in New York City, stepping out together for a relaxed afternoon in matching, understated fashion. The 39-year-old twins were seen walking through Midtown Manhattan on April 30, dressed in coordinated black trench coats paired with wide-leg denim. They completed the look with sunglasses, scarves, and structured alligator handbags from their luxury label, The Row, before stopping for lunch during their outing. 10th NASS: Akpabio Assures of Working with All, Despite Differences

13 June, 2023

The President of the Nigerian 10th Senate, Godswill Obot Akpabio, said he will cooperate with all senators despite their differences.

The former governor of Akwa Ibom State and immediate past Minister of Niger Delta Affairs gave the assurance on Tuesday in Abuja, after his inauguration as president of the 10th Senate.

Akpabio garnered 63 votes to defeat his closest rival, Abdullaziz Yari, who scored 46 votes in a keenly contested election of the Senate presiding officers.

In his acceptance speech, Akpabio observed that, “Expressions of differing and opposing opinions and views are but the fabric that democracy is made of.”

He pointed out that with his election as president of the 10th senate, the legislative chamber is set for the promulgation of laws, and a check on the executive through oversight functions.

While expressing the view that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to building a strong and virile economy, the president of the 10th senate, noted that the actions of Mr. president in recent weeks pointed to his understanding of the challenges faced by the citizens.
