 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. About 50 Nigerians, Ghanaian Sex Workers Arrested In Ghana

About 50 commercial sex workers have been arrested in Koforidua, Ghana, GhanaWeb reports.

The operation was initiated by a Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Michael Baafi, and the police. 

According to a source, some of the suspects arrested in brothels in parts of New Juaben South Municipality who were trafficked were majorly Nigerians. 

Baafi confirmed the arrests on Sunday, June 11, 2023, when speaking at Pentecost International Worship Center in Koforidua to climax the National Youth Week celebration by the Church.

He said, "I directed the Police to carry out an operation to arrest all those prostitutes who come to our town yesterday and left the central police station around 1:00 am.

"They managed to arrest almost about 50 people. I will make sure they arraign them before court tomorrow before I leave.

"About 99 per cent are Nigerians and they are coming here to dent the good image of Koforidua. Everybody who is doing that business will not be tolerated. If you know persons in any place, ghetto, house or some may be living in your house, and if you cannot go to the police station, call me."
