 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. ACTDA Intensifies Raid Against Illegal Trading, Removes Shanties In Parts Of Awka




Officials ofAwka Capital Territory Development Authority have embarked on the demolition of street shanties and illegal stores defacing the Capital City. 


The areas visited by the agency's officials were Ngozika Estate road, Club road, formerly Abakillki street, as well as Oby Okoli avenue.


Speaking during the raid, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Mr. Ossy Onuko, disclosed that the operation will be a sustained effort in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's agenda of making Anambra a liveable and prosperous homeland.


Mr. Onuko regretted that despite the numerous warnings by the agency and other agencies of governmemts, traders have continued to construct shanties and trade along road sides, and warned that ACTDA will continue to wage war against all manners of impunity in the capital territory.


According to the ACTDA boss, they will continue to discharge their duty without fear or favour and warned against all forms of street trading, erection of shanties and building on top of water channels.


Recall that Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Information, made a public announcement banning all forms of indiscriminate street trading and building of shanties across the state..
