 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Adamawa: Mob Kills 2 Women over Alleged Witchcraft

A mob has reportedly killed two women in Adamawa State over alleged witchcraft.

According to the report, a police inspector and some vigilante group members were said to have hands in the killing.

The Adamawa State Police Command, which on Sunday confirmed the incident, said it had arrested 10 suspects, including the police officer and vigilante members.

A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said, “Adamawa State Police Command came across an unfortunate video which has gone viral in some sections of the media, where an Inspector of Police and some members of Vigilantes attached to Dumne Divisional Police Headquarters, were seen maltreating and assaulting three women in an unprofessional manner.

“The women were stripped naked and beaten mercilessly by the mob over the allegation of witchcraft, as a result of which two of them were brutally murdered.”

Nguroje said the suspected police officer, Ahmed Suleiman, as well as the vigilante members and all others seen in the implicating video, had been arrested on the order of the state Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola.

He said the CP immediately deployed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, who arrested the officers and all those seen maltreating and assaulting the women.

The police PRO added that the Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation into the cause of the incident as well as ensure speedy dispensation of justice.
