 JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Mop-Up Results, Set to Begin Candidate Ranking The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise. This crucial update marks the end of the testing phase for the current academic session, paving the way for the next stage of the tertiary admission process. According to a statement issued by JAMB's Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, candidates who sat for the mop-up examination can now access their performance details through the board's approved result-checking channels.  CP OKORO ALAWARI JULIUS CONVENES A PEACE MEETING WITH STAKEHOLDERS OF COMMUNITIES INVOLVED IN COMMUNAL CRISES.


Mbakela and Mbagwa/Uvir Communities along Makurdi- Gboko road have been experiencing crises in recent times leading to destruction of properties and displacement of members of these communities. This has affected farming and economic activities in the area.

Upon arrival, the Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, CP. Okoro Alawari Julius was greeted with attacks in the area and he decided to wade into the cause of this unrest. The CP invited stakeholders including; Executive Chairman Guma LGA Dr. Ubah Mike and. Executive chairman Gwer-+East LGA Hon. Mrs. Akua Agatha, traditional rulers; Ter Gwer HRH. Chief Dr. Dominic Akpe and Ter Guma, HRH. Chief. Shemberga Dennis among several others to discuss and bring solutions to the problem at hand.

During the discussion, the major causes of these crises was identified as land dispute and restive youths taking advantage of the situation to perpetuate crimes.

 It was established at this meeting that a letter has been written to the government for boundary demarcation and that efforts are on top gear to implement the project which is a major solution to the problem.

 In response, the CP urged the Executive chairmen to hasten up with the boundary demarcation procedure so that enforcement will be made easy for the police. He warned youths causing mayhem in the area to desist from such barbaric act as he will not tolerate lawlessness under his watch. The CP also ordered a deployment of patrol teams to the area pending when the boundary will be demarcated.
