 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker. Former Governor of Anambra State, Etiaba Visits Women Affairs Commissioner, Commends her on speedy response to Sexual and Gender Based Violence cases.

A former governor of Anambra state, Dame Virgy Etiaba has visited the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo in her office in Awka.

The visit was to commend her on her numerous achievements and speedy response to cases of sexual and gender based violence in the state.

Dame Etiaba commended her efforts in making sure that the vulnerable and less privileged children, women and girls in the state get justice whenever they are trampled upon.

The Former female governor explained that she's happy how the current government is pursing justice for everyone especially using the Child's Right Act law which she signed into Law during her administration as yardstick. 

Responding, Hon Obinabo thanked the first female governor of the state for her kind gesture and noted that she's more motivated to do more knowing that she has her backing.

The Women Affairs boss noted that it is the heart desire of Mrs Nonye Soludo to see that every child maltreated gets access to justice and have a better life in the state.

High point of the visit was the handover of a book written by the former governor to Hon Obinabo.
