 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. Fuel Subsidy: KWSG Deploys Buses To Ease  Movement Of Workers, Students 


Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the deployment of government buses to support movement of students and workers in public tertiary institutions within Ilorin, and its environs. 

 

In a statement governor AbdulRazq spokesman Rafiu Ajakaye said the 

 bus palliative for the students covering the metropolis was the second phase in the measures by the state government to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal. 


The statement explained that the state government had earlier reduced workdays for civil servants from five to three every week, while working out other measures for workers that are exempted from the policy. 


The statement noted that from Wednesday, June 14, some large buses will be deployed to transport students of public tertiary institutions within the metropolis, including those going to the Kwara State University campus at Malete.


The statement maintained that different steps was being taken to bring more ease to  residents of the state.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
