Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search. MAKINDE APPOINTS 9 AIDES FOR DEPUTY GOVERNOR 


Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of nine aides for the office of the Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal.

The newly appointed aides to the Deputy Governor as contained in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, are:

Ajagbe Yusuf Olatunji: SA (Political)
Sakariyah Kunle Sanni: SA (Administration)
Hassan Ajibade: SA (Legal)
Omoetan Omolere: SA (Print Media)
Badmus Adesola: SA (Domestic)
Oyedeji Ahmed: SA (Public Affairs)
Alhaji Nasiru Ayinde: SA (Projects)
Ajibade Waheed Ademola: SA (Media Online)
Mutalib Adewale: Personal Assistant

The Governor also approved the appointment of Miss Adetola Adedibu as Special Assistant to the Governor on Liaison Office Abuja.

The Governor congratulated the new appointees and urged them to see their appointment as a call to service.

He implored them to discharge their duties with utmost loyalty and all sense of responsibility.
