 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Governor Soludo Commissions Steel Plant In Awkuzu 



Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reaffirmed his resolve to encourage industrialization in Anambra State by providing an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state. 

The Governor gave the assurance at Awkuzu, Oyi local government area, while commissioning an  indigenous steel plant, Milton Steel Manufacturing Company Limited.

The Governor who assured to create a conducive environment for industrialization said the first step is provision of power supply which already in the works to provide 24hour supply in the state. 

While assuring to remain focused in the business of providing good governance to ndi Anambra, Governor Soludo maintained that he remains the Chief marketing Officer of everything "Made in Anambra" adding that the best way to create jobs is to promote local manufacturing. 

He promised to continue doing what he can as a government to create enabling environment for industrialization to help achieve industrialized and tech driven economy.

He commended the founders for the bold step assured his support to help the industry grow.

One of the Directors of the Company and Member-Elect Representing Oyi Constituency at the state House of Assembly, Mr Innocent Ojike in his address said that their interest is to create jobs, wealth and grow the economy of the state.

He thanked Governor Soludo for his efforts in repositioning the state for the better and promised their support.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Commissioner for Industry, Mr Christian Udechukwu, other government functionaries attended the event.

The commissioning of the complex and unveiling of the plaque led to the climax of the event.
