 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. I Could Have Slapped Kwankwaso At Aso Rock – Ganduje


Former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has said that he could have slapped his predecessor, Musa Kwankwaso if he had met him at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.


Ganduje said this while addressing State House reporters after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Friday.


He accused Kwankwaso of masterminding the demolition in the state, adding that the demolitions in Kano were executed without due process and, therefore, breached the law.


Some structures demolished include Haji camp, Daula Hotel, and shopping complexes around the Eid Prayer Ground in the state. 


Kwankwaso lost the presidential election on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, although the party’s candidate, Abba Yusuf, won the Kano State Governorship election.


However, both men were in the Villa at the same period to see the president. 


When asked about the President’s response and if they had reconciled inside the Villa, Ganduje said, “I know he is in the building but we have not met. Probably if we met, maybe I could have slapped him.”
