 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. It will be great privilege – Ighalo gives conditions to return to Nigeria Premier League


Odion Ighalo says he would be interested to play in the Nigeria Premier League again.


Ighalo is a free agent after leaving Saudi Arabia’s Professional League club, Al Hilal, last month.


The 34-year-old played for local clubs Prime FC and Julius Berger before starting his professional career in Europe in 2007.


“I said if security is guaranteed, good coverage is assured and better officiating. Of course, [I will play],” the forward told Elegbete TV.


“I have played in the league before, and it will be a great privilege for me to play again for another six months or one year before I end my career.”


It would be recalled that Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa featured briefly for Kano Pillars in 2021 after severing ties with Saudi club, Al Nassr.
