 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. PDP Chieftain Drags Omadefu To Court Over Alleged Certificate Forgery

The member representing Keana Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), Adamu Mohammed Omadefu has been dragged before a Federal High Court sitting in Lafia over alleged forgery of secondary school certificate. 

Mr Omadefu who's serving second term was sued alongside the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as 2nd and 3rd defendants in the suit respectfully. 

The candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for Keana Constituency in the recently concluded 2023 general elections, Osheka Ogwole instituted the suit on Wednesday June 07.  

Mr. Ogwole, a seasoned Quantity Surveyor and Valuer alleged that the Senior School Certificate of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) submitted by Omadefu for election was forged. 

The PDP Chieftain stated that Omadefu (1st defendant) has no minimum requirement to gain admission into tertiary institution in the country and that he relied on a fake certificate to hold public office. 

In the writ of summons, the Court commanded the defendants to file their defence within 30-days upon service. 

Omadefu, a graduate of Political Science from the Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto (UDUS) had submitted the certificate dated 1992 which only bears 'Jos' with no specific name of centre (school). 

Born in 1976, he was mobilized for the mandatory one-year national youth service in 2002 upon graduation from the university in 2001. 

He attended Keana Central Primary School where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) in 1985.
