 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. PDP Chieftain Drags Omadefu To Court Over Alleged Certificate Forgery

The member representing Keana Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), Adamu Mohammed Omadefu has been dragged before a Federal High Court sitting in Lafia over alleged forgery of secondary school certificate. 

Mr Omadefu who's serving second term was sued alongside the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as 2nd and 3rd defendants in the suit respectfully. 

The candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for Keana Constituency in the recently concluded 2023 general elections, Osheka Ogwole instituted the suit on Wednesday June 07.  

Mr. Ogwole, a seasoned Quantity Surveyor and Valuer alleged that the Senior School Certificate of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) submitted by Omadefu for election was forged. 

The PDP Chieftain stated that Omadefu (1st defendant) has no minimum requirement to gain admission into tertiary institution in the country and that he relied on a fake certificate to hold public office. 

In the writ of summons, the Court commanded the defendants to file their defence within 30-days upon service. 

Omadefu, a graduate of Political Science from the Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto (UDUS) had submitted the certificate dated 1992 which only bears 'Jos' with no specific name of centre (school). 

Born in 1976, he was mobilized for the mandatory one-year national youth service in 2002 upon graduation from the university in 2001. 

He attended Keana Central Primary School where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) in 1985.
