 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Girl running from dog d!es of electrocution in Lagos



A 13-year-old girl , Taiye Ojo, who was running from a barking dog, was el£ctrocuted in her residence in the Makoko area of Yaba, Lagos Stateon Saturday, July  8.


According to eyewitnesses, Taiye was on her way to the toilet inside her compound when she saw the dog who started barking at her. Terrified that the dog might attack her, Taiye  began to run. As she was running, she accidentally touched the outdoor unit of an air conditioner and she was el£ctrocuted.


Neighbors who saw her fall immediately rushed her to the hospital where she was confirmed d£ad on arrival. The victim has since been buried according to Islamic injunction.
