  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. GOV SANWO-OLU INAUGURATES NEWLY APPROVED LAGOS STATE COUNCIL OF OBAS AT LAGOS HOUSE, ALAUSA, IKEJA, ON WEDNESDAY, 12TH JULY 2023


I am happy to announce the r
enewal of the tenures of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs for another term as well as the continuation of the tenure of Oba of Lagos, Oba Riliwanu Aremu Akiolu, as the body’s chairman.

The monarchs play an important role in preserving our cultural heritage as well as continuing to play a role in contemporary governance and delivery of the dividends of democracy. 

I charged the council on the importance of keeping Lagos safe for business and habitation and the important role they play as institutions that interact heavily with our communities. 

As a responsive government, we have continued to support our traditional rulers to enhance their mobility and general upkeep, as well as the construction and renovation of palaces across the State. It is our expectation that all of these will aid seamless discharge of their duties in their respective domains.
