 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. IPOB sit-at-home: Resume your normal activities or face sanction – Enugu govt warns

The Enugu State Government has urged residents to disregard the Monday sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and go about their normal businesses.

The government threatened to sanction civil servants, schools, and markets that observe the illegal order.

The directive was issued by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Chidiebere Onyia, and was contained in a statement he signed.
