 Recording Academy adds five new Grammy categories, updates rules for 2026 awards NEW YORK - The Recording Academy is introducing five new categories and making several rule changes for the 2026 Grammy Awards in an effort to reflect the evolving global music landscape. Among the new additions is a best Asian pop music performance category, which will honor performances across genres such as K-pop, J-pop, C-pop and other Asian pop styles, with the award going to performers. A new best traditional pop vocal performance category will recognize artists whose work does not fit within modern pop styles. A best Latin song category will spotlight songwriters for Spanish-language Latin recordings. Changes are also coming to existing categories in R&B and folk music. The academy is adding a best R&B collaboration or duo/group performance category alongside a revised best R&B solo performance award. KWARA CUSTOMS GENERATES N6.2B IN THE THREE MONTHS.(PHOTOS).

Nigeria Customs Service ,(NCS) Kwara Area Command says it has generated the total sum of Six Billion, Two Hundred and Forty Six Million Four Hundred and Eighty-Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty -Seven Naira Ninety -Seven kobo(N6,246,485,827.97) between April and June this year.

The State Controller of the service ,Comptroller Kehinde Ilesanmi stated this while speaking with Newsmen on the achievement of the command in Ilorin.
He said the total of N9.8 Billion naira was remitted to federation account between January and June this year when he took over the mantle of leadership.

Comptroller Ilesanmi noted that the said amount is above what was collected from (January-June 2022) with the sum of N5.7B.

According to him ,the command has also recorded fifty six seizures of different items with Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N48.88Million naira between April and June this year at border areas of Okuta, Chikanda and Bukoro in the Northern part of the state
Comptroller Ilesanmi said the items seized include 9 units of used vehicles of different types, 813 bags of foreign parboiled rice(50kg each), 24,950 litres of Petroleum product in 998 jerrycans and 14 kegs of vegetable oil of 25 litres among others.

He noted that the command will not compromise in its mandate of enforcing legitimate commercial activities and facilitating trade among local industries.
The Controller warned economic saboteurs to turn a new leaf or face the full wrath of the law.

He commended the support of traditional institutions and other stakeholders which enabled the command achieve success in the fight against smuggling.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
