  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. LASG ANNOUNCES TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ALAKA-COSTAIN/IGANMU SECTION OF EKO BRIDGE (INWARD ISLAND) FOR 40 DAYS

 
Lagos State Government, in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, has announced a temporary closure of the Alaka/Costain - Iganmu section of the Eko Bridge (Inward Island) for a period of 40 days commencing on Sunday, 23rd July, 2023.
 
A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, Engr. Abdulahfiz Toriola said the closure is a result of the damage noticed on some parts of the bridge structures which needed to be urgently rehabilitated to restore the integrity of the bridge.
 
He further disclosed that the Service Lane of the bridge leading to Iponri will be available for Motorists plying the route from Western Avenue and its environs.
 
While appreciating Motorists for their usual cooperation, Engr. Toriola advised road users to cooperate with the Traffic-Management Personnel deployed to the area to guide them appropriately while plying the axis.
