  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Missing ex-president of ASUU, Dipo Fasina found in Turkey 


A former president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), who was reported missing earlier on Sunday, has been found.


Mr. Dipo Fasina, popularly known as ‘Jingo’ was declared missing on Saturday, July 1, in an incident confirmed by the incumbent President of ASUU, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke.


The 76-year-old Nigerian scholar and activist was travelling to Algeria at the invitation of the Algerian government when he was said to have missed his connecting flight from Istanbul, Turkey.


He was found in Turkey by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission in partnership with Nigeria High Commission.


“The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, in collaboration with the Nigerian High Commission in Turkey, has successfully located Prof Fasina, who went missing for a few days at Istanbul Airport while connecting on a flight back home.”


“Mr. Fasina, 76, was travelling to Algeria when he was said to have missed his connecting flight from Istanbul, Turkey.


“A big thanks to the Nigerian Ambassador to Turkey who immediately sent officials to the Airport to physically locate him in the very busy and huge Istanbul Airport,” NiDCOM said in a statement on Sunday.


Mr. Dipo Fasina is a scholar and activist. He taught Philosophy for 34 years at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, after returning from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he bagged his Ph.D.


In 2001, he was elected National President of ASUU, during which he led one of the longest strikes by academics in Nigeria’s history.
