 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 56-YEAR OLD MAN, ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY DEFILING 11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER.

One Mr Ọkpara, a 56 year old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling 11 year old daughter in Anambra.

The 56 year old suspect who is resident in Fegge Onitsha is a native of Adazi-Enu in Anaocha local government area of the state.

This was made reported when a good Samaritan noticed that the young girl is limping, upon interrogation she revealed that the father usually do have carnal knowledge of her every night and threatened to kill her if she ever tells anyone hence the reason why she hasn't raised alarm. 

According to the victim, the suspect who is her father started taking advantage of her after her mother's death in 2020 and became overly protective of her by not allowing other family members, friends and relatives to come close. 

Although Mr Ọkpara denied the allegation stating in his defense that his daughter's inability to work properly is because she fell from the refrigerator, but test results from the hospital where the victim was taken to says otherwise.

Reacting to the news, the women and social welfare Commissioner, Obinabo who deployed her staff to the scene of the incident promised to get to the bottom of the case assuring that justice must prevail.

Meanwhile the suspect will be arraigned before the Children, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Magistrate court in Awka on Wednesday
