The House passed the resolution following a motion sponsored to that effect by the member representing Idemili North Constituency, Mr Kingsley Udemezue during plenary in Awka.

In his contribution, the member representing Awka North Constituency, Mr Johnmark Ikwunne also stated that hoodlums now use the areas to carry out criminal activities including kidnaping due to the deplorable condition of the area and urged Anambra Road Maintenance Agency to fix those areas to salvage the situation.

In their remarks, the Chief Whip of the House, Mr Jude Ngaobiri and the member representing Aguata Constituency Two, Mr Tony Muobuike also spoke in favour of the motion.
