 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. “Don’t marry your best friend” – Singer Simi Reveals Why

Nigerian artist, Simi, recently revealed the humorous nickname her husband, Adekunle Gold, uses for her at home, along with a piece of advice cautioning people against marrying their best friends.

In a video clip, the mother of one, who has recently started wearing glasses, captured the moment when her husband affectionately called her 'Ojiugo'.

This playful gesture was Adekunle Gold's way of poking fun at her new style of wearing prescription glasses around the house, according to Yoruba cultural norms.

In response, Simi shared her perspective, advising viewers to reconsider the idea of marrying their closest friends. She pointed out that sometimes, only a friend might treat you with such light-hearted teasing after marriage.
