 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker. EFCC Nabs Akpa for N500m Land Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, has arrested one Stephen Acheme Akpa, chief executive of Zoe New Dawn Nigeria Limited, for alleged Five Hundred Million Naira (N500, 000,000) land fraud.
Akpa was first arrested by the Commission on December 2, 2022 at his office in the Idu axis of Abuja, following a petition alleging that he obtained the sum of N 500, 000, 000 under false pretence. He was to be arraigned on a five count charge when he jumped the administrative bail offered by the Commission.
All efforts to apprehend proved futile until August 9, 2023 when he was rearrested.
He will soon be arraigned in court.
