 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00. EFCC Secures Conviction of Barber, Two Others for Internet Fraud in Kaduna


The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction of the trio of Miracle Obiduikwu (aka Jevonta Latimer), Baneywu Kuzayet Ambrose (aka Alexa Daisy) and Francis Uba Chidebere (aka Cherrycapricott) before Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna on separate one count charge bordering on internet fraud. 

The defendants who were arrested in different parts of Kaduna following intelligence linking them to various internet fraud-related activities, were found to have defrauded some foreign nationals through social media. 

They all pleaded guilty to the charges preferred against them. In view of their pleas, the prosecuting counsel, E.K Garba and K.S Ogunlade urged the court to convict them accordingly.

Justice Khobo convicted and sentenced them to two years imprisonment or a fine of N 150,000 each.

In addition, they were ordered to forfeit all gadgets and proceeds of crime to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
