Eze Eri Speaks On Meeting With IPOB Leader, Kanu

The traditional ruler of Enugwu-Aguleri, Anambra East Council Area, Eze Chukwuemeka Eri has absolved the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from the insecurity being witnessed in the South East.

Eze Eri stated this at his palace in Aguleri shortly after he returned from a meeting with Mazi Kanu in Abuja.

According to him, Mazi Kanu through his solicitor, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejimofor invited him to come as "Aka Ji Ofor Igbo" to help reach out to every onye Igbo that he is not behind the Monday Sit-at-home and security challenges in the South East including killings, bloodshed, kidnappings, robberies and molestations.

He quoted Mazi Kanu as saying that he does not derive joy from seeing children being denied going to school and workers staying idle on Mondays that is the beginning of the week.

Eze Eri continued to say that Mazi Kanu explained that his vision for fighting for the emancipation and liberation of the peoples of Biafra is not such that will enslave them to economic deprivation.

He noted that Nnamdi Kanu's suffering is not to destroy or harm rather to give voice to Ndi Igbo but some hoodlums have maximized his absence to perpetrate all forms of crime and criminality in the name of agitation.

He, therefore, asked Ndi Igbo to stop adhering to the Monday Sit-at-home order while showing love in unity as he warned those still enforcing the exercise to desist or face the full wrath of Ndi Igbo.

Lending their voices, other traditional rulers who came to welcome Eze Eri from his journey, the traditional rulers of Mkpunando and Enugwu-Otu Aguleri, Igwe Johnson Mbanefo and Igwe Emmanuel Ejiofor regretted that many lives have been lost from the criminal activities of the hoodlums who portray themselves as freedom fighters and rubbish the name of the leader of indigenous people of Biafra in the bad light

They, however, reiterated the call on the federal government to release and free Mazi Kanu from custody.

  1. Are these not bunch of illiterates? Instead of asking Tinubu to release Kanu, rather, they are going to see Kanu, is Kanu the one that ordered it? This is calling for his release, if they went to school, they should know the root cause of the sit-at-home and tackle it from there.

Kanu had won his case, what’s he still doing the DDS custody? Tinubu and the APC government doesn’t regard the igbos and they will be fools to still remain in Nigeria after everything and still talking about stopping the sit-at-home.

What they should do is to find a way to speak with the Niafran prime minister in the person of Simon Ekpa than beating around the bush, locate him and know the situation of things, unless they want to be slaves for ever, we the youths want to be free forever.
