 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. HOODLUMS SET REPS MEMBER'S HOUSE ABLAZE IN ANAMBRA. (PHOTOS).


𝐇𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝗔𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗲 𝐈𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚

Some yet-to-be-identified assailants have burnt down the house of member, representing Ihiala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐠𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐤𝐞.

It was gathered that the hoodlums invaded the house located in Ubahi-Mbosi in Ihiala Local Government Area at about 1am on Tuesday and started shooting sporadically before setting the house ablaze.

Agbodike was also the former deputy speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly and the place of the incident is his hometown.

Although, no life was lost, but the house, consisting of a fully-furnished five-bedroom duplex with four living rooms and a kitchen was completely razed down by the hoodlums.

The lawmaker, who confirmed the incident to journalists on Tuesday, said he was informed about the incident on the telephone.

He was in Abuja carrying out his legislative duties when the attack occured, adding that before security operatives arrived the scene, the hoodlums had fled.

He also did not state if he suspected anyone, or whether it was politically motivated.

The state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident, saying that surveillance efforts are in place in the area.

Ikenga said, “The area has been condoned and security operatives have been deployed in the area and they are assessing the situation. There is ongoing surveillance by the operatives.”
