 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. IKE EKWEREMADU'S SON WEDS HEARTTHROB TIFFANY IN ABUJA.(PHOTOS).

Lloyd, son of former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu got married to his heartrob, Tiffany in Abuja on Saturday.


The Nation learnt top chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) including three former Senate Presidents – Anyim Pius Anyim, David Mark and Bukola Saraki – and PDP governorship candidate in Kogi State, Senator Dino Melaye, among others, stood in for Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice.


Ekweremadu, who represented Enugu West senatorial district in the Senate for about two decades, is being held in a UK prison with his wife Beatrice after they were found guilty of organ trafficking and sentenced to different jail terms in May, 2023.


The Nation reports that a UK Court sentenced the former Deputy Senate President and PDP chieftain to nine years and eight months in prison.


The court also sentenced Beatrice to four years and six months in prison while a doctor who allegedly colluded with them, Obinna Obeta, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
