No good deed goes unpunished.  A Florida sea tow captain saved a man from a burning ship only to be shoved overboard and have his boat stolen. This shocking incident occurred near Marco Island on March 6th. On that date, a call went out regarding a burning boat. The captain of a sea tow boat heard the distress call and rushed to provide aid. He was able to quickly locate the burning boat and  discovered 40-year-old, Ryan Deiter, and his dog onboard the burning ship. Wasting no time, the captain of the sea tow boat was able to maneuver alongside the distressed boat and begin efforts to extricate Deiter and his dog from the doomed vessel.  Eventually, the sea tow captain was able to pull both Deiter and his dog onboard the tow boat. However, once Deiter was pulled to safety, he repaid a stranger's kindness with treachery.  Deiter shoved the captain from his own boat and fled the scene in the stolen boat, leaving the man who had just risked his own vessel and life...

It's Now A Criminal Offence For One Bushel Of Rice Not To Reach 100 Cups - Ebonyi Governor, Nwifuru

Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has said it is now a criminal offence to sell one bushel of rice which is not up to 100 Cups, Igbere TV reports.

Governor Nwifuru stated this during a meeting with stakeholders of Abakaliki Rice Mill.

According to him, "Earlier today, I invited the stakeholders of Abakaliki Rice Mill for a crucial meeting, over certain indications that pointed to steady decrease in value of the industry, chiefly due to leadership problems."

"I have therefore directed that the operations of the Abakaliki Rice Mill must return to the best standards, where a bushel of rice must be 100 cups complete, while half bushel must be 50 cups complete. It is now a criminal offense to shortchange customers. The current leadership will serve out their remaining tenure and everyone has to obey their instructions."

"We all have to work together and explore the great possibilities of these Ebonyi signatures, like our Rice Mill, to drive our economy and make the lives of Ebonyi people, better."
