 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   President Tinubu Reconstitutes the Board of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission   President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the Board of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), following the Senate's confirmation of its members on December 16.   Members of the reconstituted Board are:   • Mulisiu Olalekan Oseni, PhD. — Chairman   Dr Oseni started his service as a Commissioner in January 2017. He was subsequently appointed Vice Chairman of the Commission.   His appointment as Chairman took effect from 1 December 2025 and shall subsist until the completion of his ten-year tenure at the Commission, in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2023.   • Yusuf Ali, PhD. — Vice Chairman   Dr Ali was first appointed as a Commissioner in February 2022. Suspected motorcyclists k!ll police inspector in Lagos

The police command in Lagos state, on Friday, confirmed the death of an inspector attached to the Iponri Division, from injury sustained during an attack by persons suspected to be commercial motorcyclists.

The police public relations officer in Lagos, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident to newsmen.

Mr Hundeyin said that the inspector, whose name was not mentioned, was one of the policemen attacked at Ijora Olopa by the assailants on Thursday.

He said that the officer died at an undisclosed hospital on Friday, where he was rushed to on Thursday after the attack.

The image maker said that the policemen went to the area to implement the Okada restriction law of the Lagos State government when they were attacked.

He said no arrest had been made yet as at press time on Friday evening.

Mr Hundeyin said that they were on the trail of those that carried out the attack.
