 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. WE'LL CONTINUE TO PRIORITIZE EDUCATION FOR A BETTER SOCIETY - GOVERNOR BALA TELLS NECO


Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has reiterated his administration's commitment to introducing policies that will simply learning and teaching in public schools across the state, saying education remains his top priority. 

He made this known when he received the officials of the National Examination Council (NECO) on a courtesy visit to Bauchi Government House, today. 

Mohammed who commended NECO for the visit and for their support to his administration's commitment to reviving the education, saying he will not hesitate to implement more developmental policies including the establishment of learning centers, construction of additional classroom blocks and special scholarship to hardworking students. 

Earlier speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Professor Ibrahim Wushishi commended the governor for his laudable achievements in education, calling on him to implement and harmonize the junior examination in lines with the Council curriculum. 

He thanked Governor Bala for providing the NECO with office and furniture, saying the visit was to strengthen the synergy and partnership with the state government among others.
