Big Tech ramps up living room rivalry as Instagram launches Reels app for TVs  The battle for the future of television is intensifying, and Meta is making its move. The company announced the launch of an Instagram Reels app for connected TVs, starting with Amazon Fire TV devices. The app aims to bring Reels directly to the living room, allowing users to watch short-form videos on a larger screen alongside friends and family. Tessa Lyons, Instagram’s VP of product, explained that research showed people were already mirroring their phones to TVs to view Reels, signaling a demand for a dedicated TV experience. A lady from Borno, Fati Abubakar who recently made the list of 25 most powerful African women journalists teaches Art & Humanity at Chinese University.

Fati a native of Kanuri in Maiduguri who obtained her first degree in B.Sc Nursing and later turned to Photography. 

She recently bagged her second degree in experimental & documentary arts at Duke Kunshan University, China.

She recently made the list of 25 most powerful African women journalists. 

She teaches at Duke Kunshan University, China.
