 Lagos Court Jails NOGASA Chair, Fatuyi Phillips 21 Years  for N43.5m Fraud    Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, November 18, 2024, convicted and sentenced Fatuyi Yemi Philips, Chairman, Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria, NOGASA, to 21 years imprisonment for N43.5m fraud.   The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on April 5, 2022, arraigned Philips alongside his firm, Oceanview Oil and Gas Limited, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N43, 502,000.00   Count one reads: "Fatuyi Yemi Philips and Oceanview Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, on or about the 28th day of September, 2016 at Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, obtained the aggregate sum of N43, 502,000.00 from Elochukwu Okoye and Elebana Unique Ventures Nigeria Limited on behalf of WAPCIL Nigeria Limited under the false rep

COMMANDER OPERATION SAFE HAVEN VISITS WOUNDED IN ACTION SOLDIERS ON OPERATION HAKORIN DAMISA IV, CONVEYS COAS ASSURANCE OF ADEQUATE MEDICAL TREATMENT


The Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) and General Officer Commanding 3 Armoured Division Nigerian Army, Major General AE Abubakar today Wednesday 20 September 2023, visited personnel that were wounded in action during the ongoing Operation HAKORIN DAMISA IV at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) in Jos, Plateau State. 

The Commander during the visit, assured the wounded personnel of adequate medical treatment that would enable them recover quickly from the injuries sustained. He said the nation was proud of their selfless service and continued sacrifices toward maintaining peace in the country. 

Major General Abubakar disclosed that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja has directed that comprehensive medical care was imperative for the wounded heroes including further medical therapy overseas should the need arise. He reiterated that the welfare of troops was of utmost importance to the COAS while wishing them quick recovery. 

The Commander was accompanied by Commanders and Principal Staff Officers from HQ 3 Division and Operation SAFE HAVEN.
