 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Govt's Urged To Encourage  Skills At Basic Education Level

Government at all levels have been urged to encourage computer technology skills training at basic  education level to make learning more attractive to the students.

An expert in computer technology,Okpe Barthlomew made the call while speaking at a technology skills training for Over five hundred Children at Karumo in Ilorin East local governments area of Kwara state.

According to him  the introduction of  skills training  into  school curriculum for the children will make education attractive .

Okpe said the idea of the training is to make the students see education differently and provide them the opportunity to use the computer technology to develop themselves.
                        
He  explained that the programme will empower about one hundred thousand children ,and women  across the country with relevant technological skills to prepare them for the future and make them self reliant.

In a remark the President,Balogun Gambari Youth Movement,Abdulrahman said the skills acquisition training will impact positively on the lives of the children and women in the community.

In his address a consultant at the training ,Mr Ayo Olanipekun said the training is expected to cover the sixteen local governments across the state.

He urged the community leaders to constitute a community management team to ensure sustainability of the programme.
