 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Mohbad's Death Opened Our Eyes To Areas We Didn't Focus On, Says Actor Kunle Afolayan

Nigerian actor and film producer, Kunle Afolayan, has opined that the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, open the eyes of many to areas that were not focused on.

Afolayan, while mourning the deceased in a post on his Instagram account, said that every person has a certain purpose to fulfill before they leave the world.

He said, "I know the last few days have been very emotional for a lot of people, including myself, in regards to Mohbad's death.

"But for me, I have a different take. We all came to this world to fulfill a certain purpose, and when that is completed, we depart this world.

"I think he came to liberate and start a movement, to open people's eyes to areas we never paid attention to. I think he has fulfilled the essence of why he came to this world.

"My condolences to the wife, the child, the mother, the father, and his relatives."

MohBad died on Tuesday, September 12, at the age of 27.
