  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Peter Obi Will Win at Tribunal – Labour Party Counters Tinubu’s Claims

The Labour Party (LP) has countered the Presidency’s assertion that President Bola Tinubu is not worried about the outcome of the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which is set to be delivered on Wednesday.

The party declared that its Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, in the election will win.

The Presidency’s claim was made by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, who said that Tinubu is not losing sleep over the verdict because he won the February 25 presidential poll.

However, LP spokesman Obiora Ifoh said the party is sure that its candidate, Obi, will emerge victorious.

“We are positive that the judgement will favour the Labour Party and our presidential candidate, Peter Obi,” Ifoh said in a statement. “We are also positive that the will of the people will prevail.

“Most Nigerians have waited this long and their wishes will be granted.

“The mandate freely expressed on February 25 will be returned to the rightful winner of the election.”

The tribunal is hearing petitions filed by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), challenging Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election.

The verdict is expected to be announced on Wednesday, September 6.
