 Press Release: Every Hisbah Officer Is a Peace and Security Ambassador in His Community. Kano State Governor Alh.Abba Kabir Yusuf has reaffirmed the determination of his administration to ensure security and peace  for the protection of lives and property across the state. The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Sani Auwal, made the commitment during a stakeholders meeting on the contribution of shari'a sector institutions toward promoting peace and security in Kano State. The meeting was organized by the Kano State Hisbah Board and held at the Coronation hall Government House, Kano. He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and urged the Hisbah Board to focus more on providing intelligence reports to conventional security agencies, rather than limiting efforts to moral enforcement alone.  President Tinubu Receives Nigerian Supreme Council For Islamic Affairs


President Bola Tinubu has called on the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs to be in the forefront of his administration’s National Re-orientation Agenda. 


The President sought their input in Abuja when executive members of the Council, led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, paid him a solidarity visit. 


Speaking to State House Correspondent on the visit, the Minister of Information, Alhaji Muhammad Idris, said the President had asked them to make their impact felt in hot-spots. 


“The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, was also in Niger to engage with the junta there. He has asked them to go back, in the spirit of his belief that only dialogue can end crises across the world”, the. Minister explained. 


Alhaji Idris said members of the Council also made reference to situations in the country, and advised the President on the possible ways of solving them. 


“They came to offer him some advice on happenings in the country. They’ve also solicited for his co-operation and to ensure that the unity of Nigeria continues to be maintained. 


He said President Tinubu had accepted their submissions, and thanked them for their concern.
