 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker.  President Tinubu Receives Nigerian Supreme Council For Islamic Affairs


President Bola Tinubu has called on the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs to be in the forefront of his administration’s National Re-orientation Agenda. 


The President sought their input in Abuja when executive members of the Council, led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, paid him a solidarity visit. 


Speaking to State House Correspondent on the visit, the Minister of Information, Alhaji Muhammad Idris, said the President had asked them to make their impact felt in hot-spots. 


“The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, was also in Niger to engage with the junta there. He has asked them to go back, in the spirit of his belief that only dialogue can end crises across the world”, the. Minister explained. 


Alhaji Idris said members of the Council also made reference to situations in the country, and advised the President on the possible ways of solving them. 


“They came to offer him some advice on happenings in the country. They’ve also solicited for his co-operation and to ensure that the unity of Nigeria continues to be maintained. 


He said President Tinubu had accepted their submissions, and thanked them for their concern.
