 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Six Clubs Participate In Argungu Polo Tournament

Six Polo clubs have participated in Saturday's concluded 2023 NSK Argungu Polo Tournament held in Argungu, Kebbi State.

The clubs are NSK Polo Club, West Steam Ponis, Mera Farms, Heritage 5, H. Hago and Sokoto Rima.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the tournament, President of the Nigeria Polo Federation, Nura Sani Kangiwa, expressed satisfaction with the event, stating that it was more advanced than the previous ones, considering the participation of foreign players.

According to him, the federation will host an international polo tournament in Nigeria to show the world of its advancement in the game of polo. 

He expressed appreciation to the dignitaries and the host community for gracing the two-day tournament, and for the cultural entertainment showcase put on by the host community.  

Governor's Cup was won by NSK, securing the first trophy, with H. Hago in second position. 

Similarly, the 'Emir's Cup' was won by West Stream Ponies with Heritage 5 in second position, the third trophy, the 'Beginners Cup,' was won by Mera Farms, and Sokoto Rima are the runner-up.
