 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Hon. Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has drummed full support for the reelection bid of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma


Uche Nwosu who was the governorship candidate of AA in the 2019 Imo guber election expressed readiness to mobilize thousands of votes to deliver Hope Uzodimma come November 11th


He described Uzodimma as a man of character who has remained focused in his quest to reconstruct , rehabilitate and fully return Imo State to her place of glory.


"Hope Uzodimma is only the most qualified person to be elected come November, I believe in his government and I want all Imolites to support him to enable this government to consolidate on the achievements already set in" Uche Nwosu stated


With this recent endorsement, it is assumed that all well meaning Imolites has backed the reelection bid of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma and come November 11th Imolites will go out in mass to vote for His Excellency the governor.
