 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Zamfara Govt Takes Measures To Rescue Kidnapped University Students


Zamfara State Government is taking proactive measures to ensure that, the kidnapped Students of the Federal University Gusau are rescued without any harm.


This was disclosed by the state Acting Governor Malam Mani Mummuni when he visited the University on assessment tour. 


He said that upon hearing the news about the unfortunate incident, the government promptly took action to determine the best way to safely rescue the abducted students.


According to him, the government will also take adequate measures of averting the reoccurrence of similar incidence.


Malam Mani assured the management of the University community, parents, and general public that, the victims would be rescued without any harm and called on them to continue abiding by the law.


Earlier, the Zamfara State Commissioner of Police Muhammad Dalijan said security agencies have surrounded the perpetrators together with their victims both on air and land with a view to rescue them without any injury.


He denounced the allegation that the University management had alerted the security agencies about the attack before it occurred.


In a remark, the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration of the University, Professor Ahmad Galadima expressed appreciation to the state government and security agencies for their prompt response.
