 First Lady of Nigeria, Remi Tinubu empowers 250 elderly in Anambra Nigeria’s first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has empowered 250 vulnerable elderly indigents of Anambra State with N250,000 cash through her Renewed Hope Initiative Elderly Support Scheme, aimed at promoting the well-being of the elderly citizens and ensuring they live with dignity and joy. The scheme, themed ‘Finding joy in old age’, is in its third edition and it’s designed to support 250 vulnerable elderly citizens from the age of 65 and above in all the 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory and veterans from the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association. According to the scheme, the total sum to be disbursed to the 9,500 targeted beneficiaries across the country is N1.9 billion, as approved by the Governing Board of the Renewed Hope Initiative. ‘Elders are now leaders of tomorrow in Nigeria’ – Singer Paul of Psquare


Famous Nigerian musician Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy of the Psquare, has stated that the elders are the leaders of tomorrow in Nigeria.


The singer said this while reflecting on the state of leadership in Africa especially in Nigeria.


Rude Boy while decrying the future of the Nigerian youth in a post on his Instagram story, stated that elders are becoming the leaders of tomorrow as against the popular saying ‘Youth are the leaders of tomorrow’.


“In Africa especially Nigeria. Elders are the leaders of tomorrow.


“Take that with you”, he wrote.
