 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. ENUGU POLICE OPERATIVES SMASH CHILD STEALING SYNDICATE, ARREST ONE;


...as CP Kanayo orders the transfer of the case, arrest and prosecution of other suspects at large

Police Operatives of the Enugu State Command, serving in the Igbo-Eze North Police Division, working with the Neighborhood Watch Group, has smashed a child stealing syndicate and arrested one Ifeanyi Omeke aged 21, at Igogoro Village in Enugu-Ezike community of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, on October 27, 2023, at about 1.30 p.m.


2. The suspect was nabbed after he sneaked into the complainant's house in the mentioned community and attempted to steal a one-year, three-month-old girl child.


3. The suspect confessed to the crime,

stating that he was contracted by his cohorts at large to steal children for ritual and other criminal purposes.


4. Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State CID for further thorough investigation that will lead to the arrest of other members of the criminal syndicate and their prosecution.
