  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. ENUGU POLICE OPERATIVES SMASH CHILD STEALING SYNDICATE, ARREST ONE;


...as CP Kanayo orders the transfer of the case, arrest and prosecution of other suspects at large

Police Operatives of the Enugu State Command, serving in the Igbo-Eze North Police Division, working with the Neighborhood Watch Group, has smashed a child stealing syndicate and arrested one Ifeanyi Omeke aged 21, at Igogoro Village in Enugu-Ezike community of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, on October 27, 2023, at about 1.30 p.m.


2. The suspect was nabbed after he sneaked into the complainant's house in the mentioned community and attempted to steal a one-year, three-month-old girl child.


3. The suspect confessed to the crime,

stating that he was contracted by his cohorts at large to steal children for ritual and other criminal purposes.


4. Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State CID for further thorough investigation that will lead to the arrest of other members of the criminal syndicate and their prosecution.
