 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Femi Otedola gifts all 750 Students of Augustine University N1 million each

Femi Otedola, Nigerian billionaire and Chairman of the electricity producer Geregu Power, was on Thursday inaugurated as the Chancellor of Augustine University.
The inauguration took place at an auditorium in the school which is located in Ilara, a town in Epe local government area of Lagos State Southwestern Nigeria.
Speaking on his new achievement, Otedola expressed gratitude to God.
The Nigerian billionaire also donated N1m to each of the 750 students of the university.
The total sum of the scholarship donation amounts to N750 million (Seven Hundred and Fifty Million Naira).
Otedola specified that the scholarship would benefit both returning and new first-year students.
The university has approximately 500 returning students and an estimated 250 new first-year students, making the scholarship donation applicable to around 750 students in total.
Announcing the donation, the billionaire said: “I hereby announce a scholarship donation to each returning student of the University and each new first year student of our University the amount of One Million Naira Each towards the 2023 / 2024 session school fees of each student. I am told that there are 500 returning students and about 250 new first year students making a total Scholarship donation of N750 Million (Seven Hundred and Fifty Million Naira). I hope this donation assists the plight of the parents of our students in this difficult time.”
