 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. Kebbi Quarantine Service Destroys Over  N16m Worth Of Donkey Skins


The Kebbi State Command of the Nigeria Agriculture Quarantine Service has destroyed eight hundred and fifty (850) confiscated donkey skins worth over sixteen point five million naira. 


Speaking shortly after a brief ceremony at the outskirts of the State Capital, the Zonal Commander of the service, Dr. Adamu Isa said, the contraband was intercepted along Koko-Yauri road en route Lagos following an intelligence reports from the locals. 


Dr. Isa, stated that, the skins were supposed to be exported to China by unscrupulous elements in the society, warning that the wrath of the law will never spare any person caught in the business as the agency would work round the clock to ensure donkeys never go into extinction in the country. 


He said, Nigeria as a signatory to the charter protecting domestic and wild animals against extinction, the Government would respect the treaty to the later saying, the Agency had been enjoying maximum support from sister security agencies to that effect. 


Also speaking, Kebbi State Comptroller of Customs, Hussaini Ahmed Bello, said the fight against crime was everybody's business, therefore urged the general public to feed the Customs with relevant intelligence reports that would lead to the crackdown of offenders in the state. 


The Comptroller maintained that, Customs Service would definitely arraign offenders before the court of law as it had been doing in the past and therefore advised members of the public to always engage in meaningful business that will transform their lives within the ambit of the law.
