 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Nigerian celebrities stepped out in grand style for the burial ceremony of award-winning music superstar, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid’s late mother.
The Nation reported that Wizkid lost his mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun around 1.30 am on Friday, August 18th, 2023.
Following her demise, the family honored her with a grand burial ceremony for a life well spent.
On Friday night, Wizkid’s mom was finally laid to rest and celebrities came out in numbers to honor the deceased and support their colleague.
