 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. NSCDC arrests fake doctor working with government hospital in Bauchi

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Bauchi State have arrested a fake medical doctor working with the state government. 

The suspect, Usman Sadiq Yelwa, was working with the General Hospital, Misau, in Misau Local Government Area of the state before his arrest. 

The state NSCDC Commandant, Ilelaboye Oyejide, disclosed this on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, while speaking with journalists at the command’s headquarters on the security situation in the state. 

He said that the suspect was arrested based on credible intelligence.

The suspect, who confessed to being an impostor, will be charge to court for the established offence accordingly, the commandant added.
