Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search.  Soludo’s father dies at 92


Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has lost his father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo.


Pa Soludo reportedly died in the early hours of Monday, 6th November, 2023.


A short statement by the Press Secretary of the Governor, Mr Christian Aburime, announced Pa Soludo’s passing.


The statement said: “Pa Soludo is survived by seven sons, eight daughters-in-law, twenty-two grand-children and six great-grand children.


“Governor Soludo noted that his late father lived a fulfilled life and died at the ripe age of ninety-two years (92)


“Further information will be communicated to the public in due course.”
