  Atiku Fires Back at Obasanjo, Says He Stood by Ex-President in Prison and After Release Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has responded to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s recent criticism, insisting he stood by the former military ruler during his incarceration and after his release from prison, and declaring that history cannot be rewritten. Kauru LGA Embarks On Vaccination Against Measles, Yellow Fever Diseases 

Kauru Local Government Council in Kaduna State has expressed determination towards preventing and controlling the prevalence of Measles and yellow fever diseases in the area. 

The Chairman of the Council Alhaji Bashir Tanko Dawaki stated this during the launching of the ongoing immunization against measles and yellow fever campaign in Kauru. 

Bashir Dawaki, who emphasized that the campaign would raise awareness to curtail the spread of the diseases, assured the prioritization of healthcare services, development, and the necessary support to the health sector of the Local Government. 

The chairman directed the healthcare sector staff in the area to dedicate themselves to their work without engaging in any activities that could undermine the delivery of effective healthcare services to the people. 

He encouraged the residents of Kauru Local Government Area to continue backing government programs and policies aimed at enhancing their well-being.

Also speaking, the Secretary of Health for the Local Government  Mrs. Ruth Yohanna conveyed gratitude to the council for their support and the efforts made to ensure the success of the twelve-day exercise.

According to her, the vaccination will be carried out in specific centres across the eleven wards of the Local Government Area, while urging the people to actively participate in the exercise. 

Mrs. Ruth Yohanna said that a sufficient supply of vaccines had been ensured, and healthcare personnel have received training to facilitate the seamless execution of the exercise. 

In a remark the District Head of Makami in the LGA Alhaji Yahaya Abdullahi Usman represented by his secretary Muktari  Mohammed expressed gratitude to the government and other partners for their concern for the well-being of the people and assured of their support for the exercise.
