 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. ZAMFARA FIRST LADY CALLS  FOR WOMEN TO EMBRACE EARLY BREAST CANCER SCREENING



Women in Zamfara State and the country in general have been call upon to embrace early breast cancer screening in order to avoid an attack or having an ailment of such nature.

The Zamfara State Governor’s wife, Hajiya Huriya Dauda Lawal gave the charge  while flagging off the campaign against breast cancer with the theme “Living Beyond Cancer” at JB secretariat, in Gusau the state capital.

Huriya Lawal said cancer is a societal concern that needs attention and urgent action to address the issue, adding that, positive compassion should be driven by collective action to raise awareness, disseminate information, and encourage early detection and preventive measures for cancer.

She express worry on how such diseases are not detected early enough to allow for treatment easily, but when the affected person is at a danger zone or quoter to die 

The First Lady therefore call on all hands to be on deck in changing the narrative about this deadly demon called "CANCER",and possible ways to eliminate it, expressed confidence that, with more awareness and education, the dangers associated with the disease will be reduce in the society.

In her welcoming address, the State Commissioner for Health Doctor Aisha  Anka, represented by Nurse pharmacist Aliyu maikiwo said Breast Cancer is not a death sentence, early detection is preventable and call on every woman to examine her breast at least once a month.

October is commemorated annually as Cancer Awareness Month aimed at to increasing awareness of cervical, breast and other forms of cancer.
