  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Aiyedatiwa returns to Ondo as Acting Governor

The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, returned to the state on Wednesday, two days after meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja.

Aiyedatiwa had met the President and some other stakeholders over the political logjam in Ondo State.

The acting governor, who landed at Akure Airport in a commercial airline, was received by a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Director of Corporate Affairs, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Ifedayo Abegunde.

He arrived in the state shortly after the House of Assembly confirmed the receipt of a letter from Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu transmitting power to him.

In the letter, Akeredolu also announced he will be embarking on a medical leave.

Recall that the absence of the governor had resulted in heightened political tension in the state, with calls that power should be transmitted to Aiyedatiwa in line with constitutional provisions.

Also, the development resulted in division among members of the State Executive Council, with some commissioners pitching tents with Aiyedatiwa.

It was also alleged that some officials were forging the governor’s signature.
